			In 1011, [[Ʃənə Xō]], while cultivating silkworms, discovered that some of them had the ability to fly unaided. Her investigations led to her later development of the [[flying carpet]] by weaving [[Quərfi silk]] from the silkworms into a carpet. The carpets quickly proved popular with the general population, but also with the military of the region. They quickly united Quərfi under their king [[Ʃəf]]

			Following the unification of Quərfi, king [[Ʃəf]] of Quərfi turned his attention northwards. He launched an invasion of [[Wàmèrà]] in 1052, where in successive battles the Quərfi took over the entire country. He then installed a [[Wàmèrìzé spice licensing system]]. Following his death, his grandson [[Xēno]] invaded [[Covtle]] in 1274. Unlike Wàmèrà, Covtle remained contested, and the Quərfi were never able to fully control Covtle, losing all territory by 1407.
